China's Story
China is a sweet little dog (20-30lbs) who was rescued when we were asked to pick up her 6 pups from a First Nations community near Nordegg. On July 3, 2008 the rescue crew headed up for the long 4 hour drive and arrived mid-day. We found China and her pups in a nest of fallen trees and branches. The pups were safe at the back of the den and a rescuer had to crawl in her stomach to reach the pups. Mom and pups were loaded in the vehicle and driven back to Calgary where her foster dad had a big bowl of food and water waiting for her. We were told that this was China's 8th litter!! Thankfully it will be her last. Once the pups are weaned China will be spayed and available for adoption.
Her pups are estimated to be 3 weeks old (Approx DOB June 12/08) and will be available for adoption mid August.
