BOSTON AND CHEYENNE'S STORY
Imagine
the surprise when the rescue coordinator answered the door to find a
gentleman from a First Nations' Community holding two
tiny puppies! "Here", he said, "we found these under
an old car. There are two more but I couldn't catch them".
Quickly the pups were set up safe in the ex-pen with food and water
and fans to keep them cool. They slept peacefully, drinking a little
bit and eating a little bit, until their appointment with Dr.
Mattson of the SYlvan Lake Vet Clinic.
The pups were pronounced too young to vaccinate but were de-wormed.
They are to eat pablum and have lots of pediolytes syringed into them
to re-hydrate them, and have lots of water.
So far, Boston has been drinking and putting his paws in the
water while sister Cheyenne is slowly getting interested.
The puppies appear to be without their mother so there is no information
about their parentage. The remaining puppies will likely be brought
into care within the next few days, and will join their siblings at
their new foster home.
We are very grateful to Barb and her family
who came forward to foster these little ones.
For more information on adopting Boston or Cheyenne,
please call Melanie at 403-887-2925, or Stu at 403-227-2762.
The puppies need at least 2 - 3 weeks before they can "go home".
However, they can be seen and chosen!!
