Chloe, Zoe, and Beau
About
three weeks ago, a kind lady from a community waaay out west let us
know she had been handed three starving puppies to look after and she
needed our help.
We were able to get food to her but didn't have any foster homes available
until two more wonderful families stepped forward.
On April 19th 2007, through the snow storm and slushy roads, the three
little ones, now about 12 weeks, were driven to the Sylvan Lake Vet
Clinic where they were met by two AARCS volunteers, rescue blankets
in hand, to cuddle the frightened pups. Wonderfully, they had been bathed
and smelled clean and felt soft. Their first dog angel had been able
to help them back to health.
All our pups have to be named prior to seeing Dr. Mattson so the girls
were given Chloe and Zoe, and the boy, Beau. They were duly weighed,
examined, de-wormed and vaccinated and pronounced pretty healthy, all
in all. Zoe and Beau need to gain a bit of weight.
One of our new foster families arrived to pick up their new friend,
Beau, and to look after Zoey until this morning. Chloe came home with
the coordinator until her foster mom arrived through the snow storm
from Lethbridge. Chloe quickly adjusted and was full of waggles, kisses,
and puppy fun. Zoey and Beau had a good night as well!
Today, Friday April 20th, our volunteer from Lethbridge took Chloe to
Calgary to her new foster family and continued home through some nasty
roads.
We are so grateful to all who participated in this incredible rescue!
It took many loving people to give these little ones a second chance.
