Julie's Story

On Sunday, July 13 AARCS volunteers joined forces with Pound Rescue from Okotoks on a trip to First Nation communities in Southern Alberta. Pound Rescue was busy organizing for a spay/neuter clinic they are holding later in the week and we tagged along to help out. We came across a 5 pups that were being kept in a shed in the back yard of a family's home. The owners wanted to surrender them as they did not want anymore dogs and they are having the mom, a Basset Hound mix, spayed so they do not have more unwanted pups. There were 5 pups in all, 4 girls and 1 boy.

Zulu is black with bridle markings. She is very sweet and is a cuddle bug. She has the build of a basset hound.

Maui is more outgoing and very adventurous although when things quiet down also likes to cuddle.
