Atticus, that’s my name; it’s also the name of a rock band and the name of a famous lawyer in a book, he was Atticus Finch, I’m not named after any of those, my foster family liked that name and says it suits me, I’m pretty young and not sure what that means, but to me having a name is awesome as before in my life I had no name, I was nobody. Now that I’ve got a name there are things to learn and places to discover, no more worry about finding enough food to eat and staying warm and safe, AARCS and their foster family have given me that, now it’s my turn to give back to them. In the first 3 days I learned to stand at the door to be let out. At first I was a little shy, but now when I see people my heart races and my brain says ‘yipee’, seen a couple of dogs also (where I came from there were always lots of dogs) and that’s a problem because we don’t have enough food to eat, but we were always friends, no cats though, my foster family says that judging by my character I could adjust to that with ease. I’m working on kennel training also. You know what I love, love, LOVE the best is snow. I love how it tastes, how it feels beneath my feet and in between my toes and how it falls onto my fur. Beside that I love to play with people especially sleeping in their arms, on their lap, chest, or just lay beside them. Oh I didn’t forget this one, I love being petted, I will fall asleep in your arms if you rub my back just the right way, and I have some pretty wild puppy dreams as I moan and kick in my sleep, actually I’m pretty cute, well actually ‘super’ cute.
My foster family says: Atticus you are very loved here, and you need a home who can love you equally and be patient with all your puppy traits, but I know you are a strong beautiful soul and deserve everything this world has to give you...I promise.
