Story

Scarlet was surrendered to us by her owner. When we went to pick her up her one eye was in really bad shape and ended up needing to be removed... Everyone loved her so much that she didn't even make it to the website before getting adopted!
We don't get purebred dogs very often and when we do they don't seem to last long...
She has found her perfect forever home and we are very happy for Scarlet.

Hello Mommy Lori,

I have had a couple busy and exciting days and wanted to tell you all about it, but I wasn’t sure how. Then I remembered sitting with you and that puter thingy, that makes emails. I thought it might be better to try writing you instead of barking till you hear me, so I got my little paws on a laptop.

OK, so I got to my new house and sniffed everything, and then I sniffed it again. I felt one more sniff was needed, so I did. Dad mentioned something about being ‘detail oriented’….though I wasn’t able to detect any details in the house. I guess it would help to know what a ‘detail’ is. I did find a spot that smelt funny, which I quickly deodorized with my own special formula. But then dad covered it up with something from a bottle, so I had to deodorize that spot again. After I deodorized a couple more spots I moved on to mapping out a route to play tag between the dining and living room. And then the BEST thing happened…..Quistis played tag with me….THEN mom joined in. Dad watched with this funny look on his face. Quistis had to go outside afterwards, so I went along to help her, and OH BOY was there a lot of snow banks to jump in. So I did. Everyone went to the bedroom afterwards, where I had a choice of 3 beds. So I chose all three, then two, then just one. By that time Quistis left her bed and had come to sleep with me. I was so excited I had to tell mom & dad…..but they were sleeping. This was too important to wait until the morning, so I had to put my cold nose in dad’s back. He jump in excitement, and at the same time was kind enough to wake up mom for me…..even though he had yet to see the success between my new sister and I. Odd fellow.

Day two was even more fun. Mom forgot to set the alarm, but I knew we had to get up early. Really, really early. I woke up the house to start the day. I’m kind of a big deal around here, cuz I went on a walk right away. I couldn’t see much, as it was still dark, so I sniffed everything. JOY! I found so many more snow banks all around the house! I was so hungry from all the morning activity I ate a bowl of duck soup…then some snacks….then a bunch of ice cubes. Then I slept, rolled over and slept some more. When I woke up we watched something called Hockey Day in Canada. It looked like fun, but I couldn’t figure out why they were playing with a big kibble on ice. People can be strange. I met some of mom & dad’s big friends who took turns playing with me and my sister. I was really tired at the end of the day. Quistis and I slept beside each other again.

Sunday was even more fun. I went on 3 walks and dug in lots more snow. But the best part was when I showed mom & dad how to make more duck soup. I was the official taste tester for the whole day. When it was done I ate two bowls, and lots more ice cubes. Then I felt it necessary to deodorize some more.

I have to go now, I need to go have a bath. I just want you to know how much I enjoyed being with you and my ferret cousins. I miss them. Say hi to Baby for me. Thank you for being the best foster mom ever. I will come see you whenever you have time, just call me. Sniffs and kisses, Scarlett.

I almost forgot! I posed for some photo. I attached a couple for you. Luv…Scarlett
