Story
Rescue Story,
In early January we received a call from the First Nation Community of BigHorn about 11/2 hr. from Rocky Mountain House. There were puppies who had been orphaned and were very young. Eugena from the community brought them down to Red Deer and our volunteers met her, then transporting this lovely puppies to Deb in Carstairs. Deb brought them into her home, giving them all they needed and especially love, thank you so much Deb.
KWAN AND HER SISTERS ARE (MOSTLY) PAPER TRAINED IN THE HOUSE. THEY WILL BE EASY TO SWITCH TO OUTDOORS WHEN WEATHER PERMITS.
KWAN LOVES BIG DOGS AND PEOPLE. SHE IS GONNA LOVE KIDS BECAUSE THAT’S THE KIND OF LITTLE SPIRIT SHE HAS.
KWAN IS A FLUFFY BLACK AND WHITE (KIND OF REVERSE PANDA MARKINGS) WITH FRECKLES ON HER NOSE. SHE IS A REALLY HAPPY GIRL WHO ‘LAUGHS’ WHEN SHE IS RUNNING AND CHASING. SHE ENJOYS THE OUTDOORS THE MOST OF ALL THE PUPPIES, AND LOVES TO PLAY IN THE SNOW. SHE IS THE BIGGEST AND FUNNIEST OF ALL THE GIRLS. SOMETIMES, SHE WILL
SLIP AWAY FROM THE ACTION AND FIND A QUIET PLACE TO HAVE A NAP (SHE SLEEPS IN SOME STRANGE POSITIONS!). KWAN LIKES TO BE NEARBY TO WATCH HOUSEWORK BEING DONE (SHE LIKES TO WATCH PEOPLE). BUT MOST OF THE TIME SHE’S JUST BUSY PLAYING HER HEART OUT!!
LET HER JOYFUL AND FUN-LOVING LITTLE SPIRIT FIND A PERMANENT PLACE IN YOUR HEART. SHE IS READY TO BECOME A MEMBER OF SOME LUCKY FAMILY. SHE IS SUCH A LOVABLE LITTLE TREASURE.
Update Mar 5, 2010
Kwan Yee has turned out to be the mellowist puppy I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with. She will lay down beside the food bowl to eat - why stand when you can stretch out on the floor?
She also loves her quiet naps, away from her busy sisters. She loves being outside, and watching the goings-on of the neighborhood from the front porch. She lets the neighborhood kids maul her with no protest. She leaves the room when her sisters are sparring. It is not in her nature to fight, even play fight. She likes to sit on peoples feet. She doesn't ask for attention much, but loves to be held and cuddled. Her hair is soft as lamb's wool. Once she learns not to jump up ( we are working on it!) , she will be a wonder with kids - tolerant, peaceloving and kind. She's a family girl, and to some lucky family, Kwan is gonna be the dog they love forever and remember the rest of their lives.
