Story
This beautiful girl was rescued hours before she was scheduled to be put down. A dog like this, is not one that is found, they are bought and cared for. However, no one came looking for this gorgeous girl!
It was evident very early on that she had human interaction and training. She could sit, lay down and follow some other basic commands.
She was desperate for attention and just lapped it up. She was a little hesitant at first to allow us to pet her and our dogs at the same time. She would warn my other dogs that this was her time to be pet and played with. We have been working with her on that and in the 2 weeks we have had her she has gotten a lot better. She likes to be with the other dogs and the cat, which is a little strange for a husky. They are usually solitary creatures more so then other dogs.
Mishka would be great for a home of any kind. However, the family looking at adopting need to do some research on Huskies. They are a very active breed! They need a lot of play time. They can be one of the most difficult dogs to train because of there very free spirited nature, but once you have earned there respect and thereby claimed top dog, they are really easy to work with. Being that I have a husky and have worked with them in the past I can help you out. I don’t want this to scare anyone away because really Mishka doesn’t have a lot of the typical husky traits but you should be aware that she will have moments!
In the very short time that we have had her she has become a part of the family and she really is going to be hard to say good-by to, but her fur ever home is out there and I will be happy to see her go to right family!
Can’t wait to meet you and introduce you to the delightful, wonderful, loveable, Mishka Mi!!!
We have a cat and she is really good with it. I take the dogs to my folks house on the weekends and they have 2 cats. Mishka is also really good with them as well. At first she was very curious about them. Never tried to chase them or attack them, just wanted to follow them to see what they were doing.
At the dog park she clings to kids! I think she had kids at her last home!
