Story
Sparkle was found very skinny and malnourished, however the other two dogs at the house seemed to be in much better shape (Penny and Sable). The family asked if we would take all 3 of the young dogs as they did not have the means to care for them and with 3 female dogs there would be an abundance of puppies in no time flat. Upon examination at the vet, it was noticed that Sparkle had what looked like chemical burns in her mouth and on her toungue. Her recovery was slow because she had a hard time eating and she had to be in decent weight to be spayed. She spent quite a few months in foster care, but is doing really well now and is ready for adoption.
From her Foster Family.
Sparkle is a very friendly, playful, gentle pup!! She is still a little bit timid but will warm up to you quickly if you give her a chance! She is 100% house trained and kennel trained! Can you believe it she likes to nap in her kennel!!!
She plays great with other dogs and is GREAT on a leash, very gentle!!!
She doesn't like to use her tongue when eating which can be a little messy but is also VERY cute!
The foster family is still working on the the basic commands such as sit but with the right training they believe she will be successful. She gets very excited when told to sit and jumps around (like most pups do) but also shy's away if you use hand gestures for sit (or when trying to put the treat over her nose) and then will come running back.
Oh and one more thing she also sheds quite a bit!
If she sounds like a dog that you would be interested in making a part of your family please fill out an application form for her!!
